Lithology and Thickness

It is composed of variegated, differently grained sandstones, gravelites and conglomerates with lenses of limestones and brown coals. (20-50 m).

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

The formation is bounded from below and above by surfaces of erosion. Schematic stratigraphic column indicates the lower contact as Carboniferous-Triassic layers

Upper contact

Schematic stratigraphic column indicates the upper contact as Bathonian - Upper Jurassic deposits

Regional extent

It is widespread in the basins of the rivers Irkaltdzhilga, Korteke, Shahtesay, Mamazair
